the location of the property was peaceful, in the immediate area where you could eat or drink. it was also close enough to the roman ruins of conimbriga, restaurant, and common areas.

Roadworks made this very difficult to get to, but the Booked.net address was also not ideal. Staff were variable from excellent (young restaurant staff) to average. Disappointed compared to some of the other places we stayed at at similar pricing.

The hotel was clean, staff were incredibly nice, and the location was beautiful. My room was spacious and modern with a large terrace overlooking the garden. I appreciated the safety measures like smoke detectors. the breakfast was nice, and the property was conveniently located near common areas, taxis to the town center, and Conimbriga's Roman ruins, which were only 2 miles away.

This is an amazing hotel. Staff is wonderful and the setting is spectacular. In a little town away from of nearby Coimbra which makes it perfect. A quick 15 minute drive to Coimbra and only about 5 minutes from the amazing Roman Ruins which everyone should see. While the outdoor pool is small, it is pleasantly sitting on a very large peaceful lawn. The hotel is decedent and furnished beautifully. The restaurant is top notch. Had a wonderful lunch and dinner there. The included breakfast is more than adequate. Parking easy and very accessible. Would rate this a 10....peaceful, elegant and a real bargain.
